The E-Connect automatically resumes searching at night.

The connected receiver (or television with built-in receiver) is set to automatically update or refresh the channel list.

This causes the receiver to send a signal to the control box of the E-connect/TVA antenna at random times, and the antenna automatically searches for the satellite.

Disable this option in your receiver's menu (refer to your receiver's manual, automatic update or channel refresh).

The system does nothing

Is the power button on the control box switched on and is the red LED (7) on the control box lit?

The system has found the satellite but is aligned with an object.

Reflection of the satellite signal may cause the system to align itself with a reflective surface, such as the side of a window or building.
The satellite signal is sufficient for satellite reception but may be too weak to view (some) TV channels.
Move the antenna and realign it, or if possible, search again and block the reception between the dish and the object.

Poor reception

There are several possible causes for poor signal reception. Below are a number of possible causes, sorted by frequency.

  • Obstacle (building, but also a tree) between the satellite and the system
  • You are located at the edge of the reception area.
  • LNB not correctly rotated with systems without automatic skew E-Connect/TVA 65/SAT 85 (see the section on skew in the manual, etc.)
  • Check whether you have the latest software in your antenna
  • Poor connection of a connector
  • Damage to the coaxial cable to the system
  • Tuner/receiver defective (including cabling between TV and receiver)
  • LNB defective

Tips:

Skew: Is the LNB skew set correctly (see chapter 4 in the manual)

Satellite found but you do not have all channels

  • Check whether your subscription/smart card is still active.
  • Check the LNB settings if you have an E-Connect/TVA 65/SAT 85 with manual LNB skew (see chapter 4 Skew manual).
  • Download the latest updates from the website.

Satellite found but no picture

  • Check the coaxial cable between the control box and your satellite receiver.
  • Check the connection cables between your satellite receiver and your television.
  • Switch off and then switch on the receiver and television in sequence.
  • Consult the manual for your satellite tuner/television.

The system cannot find a satellite

  • Check that there are no obstacles between the system and the satellites to the south.
  • Check the LNB skew settings if you have an E-Connect/TVA 65 with manual skew (see manual).
  • You may be outside the footprint (transmission area) of the desired satellite. See reception areas.

If you are sure that the above does not apply:

  • Check that you have the latest Travelvision E-Connect/TVA software version.
  • Check the LNB, coaxial cable and connectors from the outdoor unit antenna to the antenna input (1) on the controller.
